Krastu mačs

Krastu mačs is 24-hour basketball match between two coasts that divides Rīga: right coast and left coast. This event is organized by our club, VEF Rīga.

Krastu mačs has become an annual tradition and is organized during Rīga City Festival, right by Latvian National Opera, which is located downtown.

For the first time Krastu mačs was played in 2010. Since then, six games have been played and the result is tied (3-3).

Krastu mačs attracts large number of people as in 2013 it had attendance of more than 100 000 people.

Starting from Krastu mačs' 2012 edition, this event has featured some well-known guests, when Jeremy Evans (2012 NBA All-Star Slam Dunk Contest winner) participated in Krastu mačs Slam Dunk contest. Next year Shannon Brown was special guest at Krastu mačs Slam Dunk contest.
